PERFORMANCE: Managers are on site during the weekend at Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust as it tries to improve accident and emergency performance.
The trust missed the four hour target in February but was still slightly ahead of the 95 per cent requirement for the year to date at the end of February.
A report to March’s board meeting revealed on call managers were on site at the weekend and until 9pm at night. The trust has used flexible capacity to cope with the pressure on A&E and is emphasising having a plan in place to manage patients to reduce length of stay.
