To quote Toots and the Maytals, it’s “time tough” in the NHS these days.
But even bearing that in mind, End Game received a particularly sobering response to a freedom of information request showing just how far efficiency savings had gone at one Merseyside trust.
It wasn’t so much the response itself but the postal address that depressed.
The email sign off read:
Julie Gore,
Corporate Personal Assistant,
Trust Corridor,
Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust.
Better that corporate personal assistance is provided in a corridor than patient care, we suppose.
Possibly we’ve got the wrong end of the stick and Liverpool Women’s has cursed part of one of its office buildings with the underwhelming name of “Trust Corridor”.
End Game is unsure which is worse.
