This week HSJ launches a new five page section - Resource Centre - offering managers practical advice for your personal development and to help you do your job even better.

Resource Centre features HR experts such as Jenny Rogers and Ken Jarrold offering coaching advice, while the One Minute Review keeps you up to speed with the latest management books and journal papers without having to read them.

The following four pages provide data analysis of major management issues, married with guidance on how to tackle them. This week we begin with advice on introducing single sex wards and, failing that, making the best of mixed sex facilities, as well as implementing the national dementia strategy.

HSJ wants to publicise the best management ideas from around the country, so each week we will be inviting you to submit your plans, best practice advice and case studies on forthcoming topics, which we will then highlight in the magazine and online at hsj.co.uk.
