There is only one day left to enter the HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards 2016.
The HSJ Value in Healthcare Awards seek to recognise and reward outstanding efficiency and improvement by the NHS. Entries close on 26 February.
With the NHS facing a £30bn hole in its finances, never before in has the health service had to save so much money. The NHS must find £22bn of efficiency savings – this is an unprecedented figure and represents unchartered territory for those working in the service.
The awards celebrate excellent use of resource, but they also seek out examples of demonstrable improvement in outcomes, both within back office functions and improvements in care.
There are 20 categories, including:
- emergency medicines;
- general medicines;
- obstetrics and gynaecology;
- trauma and orthopaedics;
- use of IT to drive value in clinical services; and
- use of IT to drive value in non-clinical support services.
The awards take place on 24 May as part of the HSJ Value in Healthcare Congress in Manchester.
