Basirat (Bas) Sadiq has recently been appointed as chief executive officer at Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust and place-based leader for the City and Hackney Health and Care Partnership. She began her NHS career in 2004 as an outpatient receptionist at Whipps Cross Hospital. Twenty years on, she has worked in every acute trust in north east London and held a variety of management roles.
