WINNER: St Andrew’s Healthcare: Growing Spaces to Grow

St Andrew’s hospital in Essex has transformed an overgrown, adjacent piece of land into a sustainable garden and therapeutic space, using 80 per cent recycled materials. The project has been worked on by staff and service users together as a co-production project. The garden features a green gym, shed, polytunnel, wood store and raised beds and has a low carbon footprint.
