Ayub Bhayat has over 18 years of leading digital change across the health service. Successfully progressing from the ground up, he started his career as an Information Analyst in 2005 before taking his first leadership role in 2012 and then becoming deputy chief data and analytics officer for NHS England in 2023. Over the past 12 months he has reshaped the operating model for data services as part of the New NHS England, has been responsible for the largest non-clinical procurement in NHS history – the £330m federated data platform – and is leading the strategy of data and digital transformation for the NHS.
