Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust: The Hive EPR Programme

The Hive Programme Team was created to deliver the single largest clinical transformation project in the history of the trust. The team led the implementation of a new electronic patient record system known as Hive, across10 of its hospital sites. This ambitious programme would be clinically led, operationally delivered, and digittlly enabled throughout, requiring an enormous level of multidisciplinary collaboration, governance and inclusivity.

With more than 28,000 staff, serving a regional population of more than 750,000, the launch of Hive was Europe’s largest ever EPR rollout (and the second largest worldwide), say organisers.
