University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire: Gro Health W8Buddy in Specialist Weight Management

Current specialist Tier 3 Weight Management Services provisions are insufficient to meet UK population needs, say project organisers. Gro Health W8Buddy represents the first digital support tool for Tier 3 WMS co-created with patients, multidisciplinary team and digital company DDM Health. It allows patients to access specialist resources in a way that dramatically increases the NHS’s capacity to help, whilst personalising and speeding up their journey. It offers continuity of care, onboarding with digital coach, education and self-monitoring, through targeting diet, mental health, activity, and sleep; whilst for clinicians it provides a dashboard for reviewing patient engagement.
