This is a patient communication project transforming post-operative follow-up care by sending a personalised video message to patients on the day of their procedure.
Recognising that patients often struggle to retain information after day surgical procedures, the surgeon records details about their knee arthroscopy surgery which can be securely stored in the patient’s health record to access at their convenience via the PEP. Welcomed by patients, this easy to replicate programme reduces unnecessary follow-up appointments and minimises pressure from unscheduled GP or emergency visits, freeing up valuable clinical time.
