South London and Maudsley FT: End of Life Care

This project supported staff with the confidence and skills to manage unfamiliar situations, including deaths related to the pandemic. There was already an established End of Life Working Party, mostly developing advance care planning and end of life care for older people. Existing plans were escalated and an end of life information programme was rapidly created, applicable trust wide. Multifaceted online resources for staff were supplied via an End of Life Page, increasing confidence and thus improving care for clients and carers.
