Manchester University FT: Retinopathy of Prematurity Imaging Network

Retinopathy of prematurity is a blinding condition in pre-term babies. Timely, regular screening for it is essential and is undergoing digital transformation. With the development of separate platforms for imaging, data storage and electronic patient records comes risks of disconnection, data insecurity, and information fragmentation. Organisers describe a project that has successfully integrated all the separate, approved digital platforms into a single workflow, eliminating all the risks associated with the digital transformation of ROP. This sets a robust paradigm for our wider ambitious digital transformation of ROP screening across the whole of the north west region.
