The promise of AI in healthcare has been long heralded. Many argue the NHS took a significant step closer to realising that promise when, in August 2019, a £250m investment was announced to create a new National Artificial Intelligence Data Lab. But would more widespread use of AI finally help crack the nut of turning a mass of healthcare data into actionable insight? What might the barriers be along the way? How can data quality be improved?
How might we ensure equal uptake of AI across the service? And, most importantly, what else can and should happen within local organisations to help make the most of data and turn it into information and insight?
This HSJ webinar, held in association with BJSS, brought together a small panel of experts to consider the possible answers to these complicated questions.
