This week HSJ is inviting readers to help shape our Commission on Hospital Care for Frail Older People by answering this question: What policies, techniques and approaches have you seen improve the care of frail older people in hospitals?

What policies, techniques and approaches have you seen improve the care of frail older people in hospitals?

The commission, in association with Serco, is tackling the most pressing issue facing the NHS today: hospital care of an ageing population against a backdrop of flat funding.

In early 2014 the commissioners, led by Dame Julie Moore, will publish a scoping report. But before that we want HSJ readers to share their expertise by telling us what they have seen improve care for older people.

The conversation will run for two weeks, starting on 6 December. On the day, registered users of hsj.co.uk will receive an email invitation with details of how to take part.

To enable you to engage with this question, we are using a simple, secure and anonymous website that is accessible from any device, at any time. Using this website you will be able to share your ideas, comment on those of others and vote the best to the top. That way you will collectively identify and prioritise the responses you feel are best.

A selection of the best responses will be featured in HSJ. Your expertise is essential to this debate and we look forward to hearing your contributions.
