Martin Watts
Martin has over 20 years of experience in the surgical healthcare sector. That includes 15 years in senior NHS positions during which he managed operations for three trusts with significant national surgical remits, including University Hospitals of Leicester Trust. In 2021 he joined Medacs and worked alongside their clinical leads to successfully develop a new, more NHS-integrated surgical insourcing model, drawing upon his broad experience of waiting list management.
This model is now delivering positive outcomes for a wide variety of NHS partners and, is successfully addressing emerging challenges associated with backlogs of patients with more complex care needs.
He is passionate about finding new ways to support the NHS to tackle the elective care backlog and regularly trust executives and speaks at industry events.
