Help HSJ to find out the status of clinical research in the NHS by completing our survey

Clinical research should be part of the day job of the NHS in England.

The NHS Constitution clearly sets this out in principle 3: “The NHS aspires to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism… through its commitment to innovation and to the promotion, conduct and use of research to improve the current and future health and care of the population”.

But what does the picture look like on the ground?

How important is research to your trust board and what would make it matter more?

HSJ, in association with the National Institute for Research Clinical Research Network, is preparing an article to investigate how clinical research is viewed at executive level within the NHS and would like to know what you think.

It will take only a few minutes to complete and all answers are anonymous. Plus you will go in the draw to win an iPad mini. To enter the draw, please submit your name and email address at the end of the survey.

Terms and conditions for the prize draw

  • The closing date is 15 February 2014.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed.
  • It is only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
  • The winner will be selected at random after the closing date from all entries received. The judge’s decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into. No cash alternative.
  • The winner will be notified by the email address provided within one week of the closing date, and will be required to send the promoter full details of the postal address to which the prize will be delivered.
