The HSJ Partnership Awards are closing for entries this Friday, 30 November. HSJ launched these awards in 2018 in order to champion the often-under-valued contribution to patient outcomes, improved efficiency and value delivered by the private sector through collaboration with the NHS.

Winners in 2018 had their projects highlighted on hsj.co.uk in a dedicated HSJ Project Showcase. The awards were designed to encourage such sharing of excellence, but have also proved a springboard to continued success, with the winner of the Facilities Management of Supplier of the Year, Sodexo also securing the accolade of HSJ Partnership of the Year at the HSJ Awards two weeks ago.

This collaboration between Sodexo and University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust is said to have contributed over £5 million to the trust’s cost improvement plan. The organisation has also recorded above average scores in Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE), and the Care Quality Commission has commended the trust for innovative practice in estates and facilities.
