WINNER: Allocate Software and Bolton FT: Covid-19 Sickness Absence Recording and Absence Management

By working in partnership with Allocate, Bolton FT developed a solution that gave visibility of absence that was automated, removed the time-consuming manual task of collecting data (that was in any case not 100 per cent accurate), whilst also providing consistent quality data at a regional and national level.

This in turn enabled staff to return to care as quickly as possible, enabled the trust to spot opportunities for redeployment and gave insight into potential areas for concern, which will help reduce the impact of absence in future waves.
