HSJ Partnership Awards winners revealed

Last night’s HSJ Partnership Awards honoured the organisations which were judged to have forged the most outstanding collaborations with the NHS during one of its most challenging years.

Over 900 guests representing the 123 finalists converged on London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge hotel for the event, hosted by top comedian Tom Allen.

Sixty-five judges had worked through hundreds of entries over a two-stage process to decide which of the myriad public, private and third sector organisations would take home an award.

Addressing the event, HSJ deputy editor Dave West said: “It is an estimable feat to be shortlisted for an HSJ Partnership Award – especially up against the challenges of dealing with covid, which are of course ongoing – and even more so to win.

“Our winners this year show some powerful alliances forged under the pressures of the pandemic, and some green shoots of partnerships for recovery, showing how people are starting to work together to start to crack the wicked problems which will dominate the next few years.”

There were fresh opportunities this year with the introduction of seven new categories: Environmental Sustainability Project of the Year, Workforce and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year, Best Elective Care Recovery Initiative, Most Impactful Project Addressing Health Inequalities, Best Estates Optimisation Project, Staffing Solution of the Year and Best Medicines Optimisation Project.

Charity partner was MediCinema and for the first time the event had 10 support partners.
