Winners of HSJ Partnership and inaugural Independent Healthcare Providers Awards revealed

The prestigious event was attended by around 1,200 guests and showcased the strongest relationships between suppliers and the NHS. 

With 217 entries and a total of 28 award categories spanning both ceremonies, the evening — hosted by husband and wife comedy pairing Marcus Brigstocke and Rachel Parris — highlighted the dedication and innovation driving improvements in patient care. The awards were supported by RLDatix, headline partner for the new IHPAs.

At the event, HSJ editor Alastair McLellan said: “To recognise the vital and increased role of clinical service out and insourcing, we have launched the HSJ Independent Healthcare Providers Awards and incorporated them into tonight’s celebrations.

“We have also added seven new categories to the Partnership Awards themselves. These can be roughly divided between the two great challenges facing the service in 2025: enhancing efficiency; and maintaining care quality in readiness for the promised ‘re-imagination’ of the service due to be delivered by summer’s 10-Year NHS plan.

“For those running the NHS, this year will be one of very considerable uncertainty. Changes to the way the service is organised at a national, regional, and system level are being decided at a rate and scale few expected. Meanwhile, there is the small question of closing the £7bn gap between the NHS’s expenditure forecasts and its available funding.”

Partnership Awards categories included Best Consultancy Partnership, Best Contribution to Efficiency of Services, Best Not For Profit, Patient Safety Collaboration of the Year, Data Integration Project of the Year, and Most Effective Contribution to Improving Cancer Outcomes.

IHPA categories included Best Insourcing Initiative, Best Provider of Mental Health Services, and Excellence in Clinical Innovation.
