And here is a reality check.
Bureacracy again, what bureaucracy for God's sake? Administration was 5% of the total and now probably half of it.
Savings so far have been achieved with redundancies and pay-freezes. But there ain't more clerks to sack, and can't keep the "birds-eye" wages for ever.
Add the steep NHS savings to be imposed by the new government after the next election and the only hope left for REAL savings is QIPP and CIP, both showing very little signs of producing the goods.
I suppose some creating ACCOUNTING might push judgment day a bit farther.
I'd love to hear from my bureaucratic friends.
