Today it is shown that a third whistleblower wrote directly to Nicholson expressing wincere worries about patient care and safety in his trust. He was victimised, suspended, and, like Walker & Bowles, fired. Nicholson can no longer claim he thought MidStaffs was a one-off problem. It is endemic in the NHS he leads. Bullying and victimisation are endemic. Nicholson lied and insulted the Cure the NHS campaigners. He walked the wards at MidStaffs, then praised the hospital for progress made towards targets. He appointed Martin Yeates (with no management experience whatsoever) to lead MidStaffs. He appointed his wife to a senior management job. He has stolen NHS money to pay for visits home by first-class rail, lied while claiming he was attending a conference which turned out to be a videoconference. He heads a bullying culture. He is the chief bully, as well as a liar and a thief. He must go.
