Is the problem just rising numbers of COVID admissions to general beds and ITU or as some reports tell us, that treatment is better, more people are surviving but staying longer in hospital? Conversely some ITU medics are saying that the death rate in their units in this wave is much higher than in April. The baseline bed numbers are changing due to surge expansion which impacts % occupancy figures. So could you publish the COVID beddays occupied in general and critical care since last March by region or Trust so we can get to the bottom of this?
