@Henry - I missed your comment on a spray for the hands. Like a barrier cream? Good idea, although I will say that in nature the more you push it the more it pushes back. For instance, antibiotics added to hand-gels just increase antibiotic resistance. Moreover, they're unnecessary. Your skin is brilliant at keeping out bugs. The only way in is through your nose, throat eyes or some other orifice. Also, you have to wash hands between patients so any barrier gel would be washed off.

Soap essentially destroys the bonds that give the virus shape and therefore kills it. hence the advise to wash your hands with soap and water regularly and certainly after handling anything handled by anyone else.
