Well said all. Where there is scope for criticism, it needs to come back to those who created the need for the management in the first place; there is a difference say between managing the direct delivery of a service or hospital and the cost attached to running 'a market'. The latter probably not where the public want their taxes spending, but is hardly the fault of the managers who have to operate the system designed by politicians.
