People with more than one health condition are twice as likely to take sick days and are less productive. Health inequalities are a major contributor to our lower growth, lower productivity, and weaker labour markets. Estimates from Boston Consulting Group show improved population health could boost the UK’s GDP by between £109-177bn by the 2030s.
