Wesam Baker
Wes is Director of Strategic Analytics, Economics and Population Health Management at Mersey Care NHS FT. Wes is also co-lead for Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC) for the Improving Population Health theme. Wes has 20 years’ experience in Healthcare, having initially commenced his career as a Biomedical Scientist but then changed career and joined the NHS Finance Management Graduate Scheme and qualified as a CIMA Accountant. Over the years, Wes has worked in a number of sectors in the NHS, including commissioning, acute, specialist trust, mental health and health consultancy with EY LLP. Wes led on the surge demand in Mental health for COVID-19 for Cheshire and Merseyside using system dynamics modelling. Wes is passion about using data to develop new models of care that programme in equity.
