On 27 November, the most outstanding and dedicated pioneers from across the health sector gathered at an event in London’s Piccadilly Circus to celebrate HSJ’s list of the 50 BME Pioneers in healthcare supported by BMA, NHS Employers and NHS Leadership Academy.
The country’s first female black trade union leader, a visionary pioneer of keyhole surgery, the leading third sector big hitter on social care enterprises, as well as managers, consultants, academics, CCG leads and equality and diversity champions were all on HSJ’s first ever list of healthcare’s pioneers from black and minority ethnic backgrounds helping to shape quality care in the UK today. Here are some of the photos from the event.
