Increasing Earlier Diagnosis of Breast and Prostate Cancer Amongst Our Black Communities

One in 12 Black men will die from prostate cancer, compared to one in 24 white men, and Black women are twice as likely to receive a late breast cancer diagnosis. The alliance accordingly harnessed insights and collaboration to deliver a campaign that included many firsts. Its work resulted in 60 per cent of Black men expressing willingness in having a PSA test, and 77 per cent of Black women interested in attending breast screenings.

Additionally, preliminary data indicates an exceptional 3 per cent increase in breast screening attendance by Black women.
