Early Parenthood Service – Supporting Parents To Be The Best They Can Be

Blackpool has the highest rate of children in need and looked after children in the country, with the rate for those under the age of one over four times higher than the national average. The Early Parenthood Service seeks to provide consistent and intensive support, utilising a toolkit of evidenced based interventions throughout the antenatal period until the baby is three months old, with the aim of supporting parents to be “The Best They Can Be” whilst maintaining the focus on the baby. EPS supports parents who may go home with their baby and those born into care.
